To recap our progress, we have created our Syllabus page, uploaded our content, and have created the framework for our course. Now we will create some assessments for our students to complete. Canvas offers a variety of ways to grade students.

 

Canvas assessments allow you to:

• Create graded discussions.
• Create assignments for students to turn work in.
• Create quizzes.

 

Canvas assessments are connected to:

• The course calendar - Any type of assessment with a due date will appear on the calendar page.
• The Gradebook - Any type of assessment will create a column in the Gradebook.
• The Assignments page - Any type of assessment will appear on the Assignments page.
• The Syllabus page - Any type of assessment will appear on the Syllabus page.
