Accessing and editing the syllabus page

1. Click on the "Syllabus" Link located on the left side of your course.

2. There are 4 areas to the syllabus page. Your grading scheme information (2), your syllabus description (3), your assignments and events table (4), and a button to edit your syllabus description.

3. The syllabus description is a a space for you to provide an introduction to your course, a course description, and attendance or grading policies. You may also attach files to the description if you have a large syllabus you would like the students to download. In the next two steps in this section, we will talk about using the text and content editors to complete this.

4. Your grading scheme will be displayed on the syllabus page if you choose to set it up. There will also be a display of your course calendar. These two sections will be automatically updated when you create something on the calendar, or the assignments page.

5. The bottom of the syllabus page will display a chronological list of assignments. Any assignment created in the course will appear here. Any assignments that do not have a due date will appear at the bottom of the list (1).
