Title: “Inclusive Teaching in Higher Education”
Presenters: Dr. Kelly Hogan and Dr. Viji Sathy
Description: In this interactive workshop, Drs. Hogan and Sathy will bring awareness of inequities that can arise in unstructured learning environments, and provide examples of inclusive teaching strategies that can minimize these inequities. They will model these inclusive practices, and provide opportunity for participants to practice new approaches to their classroom.

Title: “The First Day of Class”
Presenters: Heeyoung Kim and Anne Law; Faculty Panel: Jim Castagnera, Quinn Cunningham, Lauren Delisio, Todd Dellinger, Maria Villalobos-Buehner, and Emre Yetgin
Description: In this follow-up to the morning plenary, we will present evidence on how to implement changes to the first day of class in ways that invite students to learn. In this interactive workshop, we will focus on your syllabus, first introduction to your students, and early assignments as the places where you can make a big impact with small changes.
